Project Limitless launches the world's first 5G laptop

At Computex 2019 in Taiwan, Qualcomm and Lenovo have teamed up to launch the first 5G laptop prototype called Project Limitless.

Basically, the design of Project Limitless is not too different from Lenovo laptops. This model owns a 2 in 1 design, users can switch between laptop and tablet.

The highlight of the device comes from the Snapdragon 8cx chip based on ARM architecture, the first 7 nm process developed specifically for the generation of laptops with 5G connectivity. Besides, this chip brings strong performance, saving battery.

Project Limitless also owns a Qualcomm Snapdragon X55 5G modem, a multi-mode processor chip, integrated Cat 22 LTE network (maximum download speed of 2.5 Gbps, 10 times faster than 4G). Without 5G, users can still use the 4G connection.

“Project Limitless has 5G features that will meet users' needs for speed such as faster data transfer, viewing content in 4K / 8K resolution or even watching with augmented reality / real technology. virtual reality, faster video chat, ”said Johnson Jia, Lenovo's senior vice president.

Currently Lenovo has not announced the price and release date of Project Limitless. This model will compete with rivals using Windows 10 mobile PC Always Connected technology, allowing continuous 4G LTE connectivity such as Asus NovaGo and HP Envy X2.
